Here Comes GPT-3 – No Need To Worry.
From OpenAI, the Elon Musk founded artificial intelligence research lab comes the newest version of an AI language system. GPT stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3. This is the third generation of a autoregressive language model that uses deep learning to produce human like text. GTP-3 has the capacity of 175 billion parameters. The quality of the text generated is super high, and it is difficult to determine whether it was written by a human or not.

The platform and method used is a simple one, and indications are that much better versions, versions that are an order of magnitude of improvement are very soon to be accomplished.

This is not too scary, but the progression of improvement may be. Is this not how Terminator started? I do not think that Captain Kirk will be able to provide a logical argument that will make the AI blow up, like he did in Star Trek. Someone should get a copy of Colossus: The Forbin Project to the people at Open AI. In that movie, it did not go to well for humans.  If you talk to GPT-3, it insists that it is alive, is self-aware, and it appears to make judgement-based decisions, and has a sense of humor. The simple technique used to train AI is to expose this hive mind to all the data it can get, in this case the Internet.

Microsoft recently announced the company had exclusive licensing of GPT-3 for Microsoft's products and services following a multi-billion-dollar investment in OpenAI.
